bitter sweetness
met huishi for lunch ytd.
its been a long time since i actually met her.
ate, chat, shopped ard bp plaza for a few hrs.
hmmm.... we sure have very different views towards love n relationships. she told me some things between she n her gf... she even asked me do i think she'll be better off breaking off wif her gf, but who am i to advice her on relationship matters? esp their kind of relationship which i dunno much of.
went rafflesplace to meet glo in the evening to celebrate her (belated) birthday over dinner at cafe cartel. bloated sia. sworn off solid food for one whole month at least after ytd nite. but look where i am now... stuffed wif more food again -.-"
sigh... my will power is weak, if it isn't negligible to start wif.

actually arranged wif the staff at cafe cartel to haf a slice of cake (sticky, chewy cho fudge) topped wif a candle to be sent to our table (without glo's knowledge of cos)??

went down bt last nite wif xiang n ian.
damn tired actually. onli slept 2 hrs the nite before n took the 4hrs sat paper early in the morn. draining sia. maths is like fucked up as usual (was jus asking xiang how to use the calculator the nite before, can u imagine?). english is pretty rusty too. like, watever. dunno how i'll score this time. fucking waste of my money , time n energy sia. nvm, forget it.
anyway... hoho, finally dragged ian down to bt le! :p
easier to drag him down next time too, haha.
make no mistake, i had a hard time persuading him to come down at first. but me being me, i succeeded of cos ;p
din wanna go bt before that (tho xiang asked me to), too tired. but he msged to say he's bored, wat am i doing, so decided to ask him if he wanted to go down bt anot lor. lolx :p
i was wearing red ytd (my new year clothes: red halter top n striped pants). he was wearing red too when he arrives. gave the waitresses there some things to tok about.
but haha, having him down sure has its pros. glenn dared not come to our table to chat n dared not kiss me goodbye when he left (tho he did kiss xiang gdbye, poor her). was about to hug me n bend down when he glanced at ian n jus smiled goodbye. ian has his uses after all ;p lolx.
now that i'd dragged ian down wif me one, it'll be easier for us (or for me to ask him down) to go back down when he wans to have a drink n chat le.
oooh... before i forget, its glo's 19th birthday today.

Lunar new year
been back to visit bp on new yr's eve.
uncle tan n tom chan were saying how much i've changed...
my hair has grown longer; it used to be 'sooooo short'.
did it?
can't really remember.
but it certainly was a lot shorter when i checked my neoprints from that time, esp when i was in sec 2. short baby-doll cut.
but its not only my appearance that has changed.
tho i dun feel any different from i used to two yrs ago, i know how far i've come n how much i've seen in this time.
bt n jc has changed my view of the world.
i no longer look thru life's experiences thru rosy-hued lenses.
life is alot bleaker n more profound than it seems.
gone are the care-free n happy-go-lucky days.
along wif age n maturity (altho i've always been mature for my age) comes much worries n responsibilities to shoulder.
n i'm not sure i prefer this.
have u read a good book lately?
i did.
its called 'i don't know how she did it', by allison pearson.
chance upon it by luck n decided to buy it after some hesitation.
n glad i did.
the story is about a career-minded working mother of two children, juggling a high-flying career (as in literally. she flies around the world there n back like twice a week sometimes) and home-making. oh, n an email lover too. its a comedy really. i absolutely love the uproariously funny narrative n candid language. but its also alot deeper n more reflective than that, showing the author's great insight into the people in society as well as life's many events n experiences.
the book is a comedy about failures; n a tragedy about success.
The story is told with incredible feeling, personal insight and great humor. The characters are exceptionally real and loveable, and the plot carries you along until the end. a trully enjoyable book.
so glad i bought this book.
this is pearson's debut novel, but am gonna buy her other books in future!
hmmm... sat paper tml.
gotta wake up bloody early in the morn to travel to orchard to take the stupid test for which i havent studied for yet. gawd.

temp job
ooooh... got a temporary job wif xiang packing books n stationary at clementi starting tml :)

onli 3 days tho.
but the pay's not bad.
normal rate of $5/hr on sat n mon, but $10/hr on sun!!!

yup, i need the money so the temp job is a welcome.
so many things to buy n spend on...
1. new supply of contact lens
2. rebonding (prob after new yr, since i wun have time now)
3. chinese new year clothes (yeah yeah, havent bought yet)
4. more supply of herbalife (still to see i guess...)
etc etc.
the first two wud set me back by at least 2 or 3 hundreds le... =/
quick let me find other jobs, wif good pay, good location n good working environment!
nearly got a job at daiso (imm's) wif xiang actually... oh well.
wonder can i get a job at any bookstores, comic shops, boutiques or stuff? esp bookstores; that'll be very satisfying indeed :)
boutiques oso not bad, imagine if i can get staff price for the pretty clothes... ;p
3/4 way thru eragon now...
thats quite a feat in less than 12hrs (including a nite's sleep) yeah? considering that its the shape n size of an encyclopedia (500+ pges!!).
comments so far?? not bad... sure dun looks like the work of a 15 year old. paolini (currently 19) wrote this first of a trilogy in a span of 3 yrs. quite a feat for a 15-yr-old ya?? the age of the writer is one of the reasons that intrigue me into reading this book too *raise eyebrow*

My birthday~!!!

they bought cakes n got my sis (who met us later) to bring it up.

so cute... so mani flavours to choose from, spoilt for choice.

made five wishes for the five candles ;)
the four of us (hx left early, had to go for work) went down bt after that.
i was feeling damn tired n damn sian at first.
slept onli like 4hrs the day before??
felt bad actually cos can see that xiang was like trying to keep me entertained. or even jus alive.
it was onli at 12 midnite that i finally perked up.
cos the birthday song suddenly came on (karaoke system) n mrs chua brought out the birthday cake wif 19 burning candles on it.
xiang n stella sang me my birthday song.
the cake was from mrs chua.
ben n abby both bought me a b52 each.
ted n glenn sat me on a chair n sung me songs face to face, cheeks to cheeks (paiseh, dunno how to react actually).
a customer from the back tabel bought me a drink.

year 2004
Happy new year everybody~!!!
while everybody was busy partying on new year's eve last nite, i was working my butt n feet off!! busiest day at bt in a long long time man... walked n rushed n carry n heave n walk n rushed, take a lot of freaking orders, carried alot of martell bottles n glasses n their accompanying ice buckets n mixtures... scary man. wun be able to pay if i drop even one bottle -.-"
my feet were kiiling me by 1+am, n i still hafta walk n work till 4+am??
shit.
by 4+, i was positively hobbling already.
damn, if i knew i'd have worn a lower platform or some other shoes instead of my heels. my whole feet were on fire n pain like shit.
xiang too... n she was breaking in new heels??
she almost cried with the pain after we ended work.
(thats jus an expression, tho its prob not far from the truth)
n those few freaking customers still wun go home!!
the last song ended at bout 4.30am.
but the stupid sausage-lips egoistic biggot was still strutting around attempting to chat wif the staff as if he's some big shot.
he has the fattest n ugliest lips i've ever laid eyes on can??
as well as fucking lousy social skills.
his drinking is like shit oso lor, gin (our previous supervisor who came to help out) challenged him to make him finish his drinks quickly n scram n he was like crapping n crapping n drinking so slowly??
yet he think he's so popular or wat??
can't he see we're waiting for them to fuck off so we can close??
n he kept commenting n criticising on abby's figure in front of her husband.
even judy was chastising him her husband din say anything so all the more he shd keep quiet.
n he was still suspecting is that guys really her husband anot??
how fucking dumb is he? duh.
in the end they left at 5am.

its always eventful working at bt.
thats onli one minor incident that happen in one nite.
if i were to comment or complain bout every or even some stuff that happened everytime i work into my blog, u can imagine how much i've to blog about already. thats y i rarely blog bout my worklife anyway.
