been so long since i actually felt like blogging.
nth to blog bout today actually, but its not always i dun feel lazy long enuf to sit down n type smth, so... boo! :p
everybody's received their nus, ntu or smu letters already... n some have already gone down for their interviews. or got accepted.
n i still haven heard from any of them except sim...

n sim's onli a provisional placing... still gotta wait for uol's (i.e. university of london's) confirmation....arrrrgh. i dun haf any confirmation to any unis yet!! wat if i cant even get into sim??! choy choy choy!! =< touch wood.

blackcurrent darkness
whole neighbourhood blacked-out ytd.
blackout as in not only no houselights, but no corrdor lights, no streetlights, no traffic lights n stuff. its totally pitchblack outside man.
noe alot of pple's gonna hoot me when they hear this, but....
ITS FUN~!!! X)
prob cos of the structure my estate was built in, my living room is facing the inner circumference of other blocks that's surrounding in a circle (roughly).
its ptchblack outside, n i mean pitchblack.
not even the soft glimmer of moonlight or stars could be seen.
only lights u could see are the soft glow of candles from the windows of a few apartment flats (luckily i'd used to stock up on candles... sure came to use last nite) n pple holding up torches or lighters outside their corridors or windows.
everything is dark n no one can see around them, lest for the dim outline of the faces lit up by lighters held high. n pple are shouting hellos, laughing n calling out in the direction of the other lights.
how onz was that?? ;p
needless to say, i joined them =)
flicking my lighter n calling hellos to my more 'immediate' neighbours-- the monkey malay boys living right-angled a floor above me, some guy a short bloack's distance away from me, some chinese fellows living right-angled one or two floors above me n some other unrecognised ones :)

someone had even blasted music from their radio (battery operated no doubt) some blocks away. groovy ;P
but we seem to be the only neighbourhood having fun it seems...
msged becca, ian, huishi, hanxiang n a few others living in n around bukit panjang area n discovered that they are expericeing a blackout too.
n they dun seem too happy bout it...

asked around somemore n it seems like not only the whole of bukit panjang, but choa chu kang, hillview n parts of bt timah n bt batok are experiencing this massive blackout too.
wow... O.o
heard tt its in the newspaper today, but haven got around to reading it yet.
but had estimated the duration the blackout had lasted to be bout half an hour??
haha, cheers errupted when the electricity n lights are returned... mah jiam our home team got a football goal like that :p
but that has sure been a fun- filled half an hour =)
i mean, how many chances can we get to experience life the way it was before or during our parents' generation when electricity was a scarcity??
forget studying by candlelight, i can't even see properly the food i'm eating by candlelight.
haha, but that short (or long to the ones suffering during it) half an hour sure was fun ;) hehe.
been busy looking for work these two days.

i feel special :)
had a very satisfying meeting wif hanxiang today =)
really diff when u go out wif ya best fren cum zhi1 ji3...
no words need to be spoken aloud for u to noe wat each other is feeling.
our actions n timings are synchronised without each other needing to have to ask or say anything. jus like two pieces of jigsaw puzzles, our actions complement each other so well, even tho they're unrehearsed.
there're only so few pple in the world wif whom u can be wif while u're tired like anything, face to face without saying anything n still not find the silence awkward. n she's one of them :)
but we did have very intense chats today though...
lamenting the difficulty of finding close frens in jc n reaffirming the strength of our frenship among other things. at the end of the day, my 'summary' was that altho its hard to find a zhi ji, n some pple never do, but i noe i've found it in her....
n her "declaration"... boy, the words she said n the impact it has on me...
she "finally noes that, given more time -even more so than jc of the rest of her life-, n more chances to meet more pple n noe them better, she noes she still wun be able to find a fren like me, who'll give n sacrifice so much in a frenship".
that sure is news to me... a statement i've sure never heard before 6.6
wat she said was so unexpected it comes as a surprise even.

n my mum said she cant see the difference??!

yup pple, i'm left wif 8bucks plus in my account now...
how am i gonna go out watch movie n have dinners wif u all now?!

last day at andersen's
last day of work ytd.
had gift-wrapped choco n sweets to give to pple at work.
received some totful ang kongs in return too...so sweet of them :)
mike discreetly handed me a bag of chocos (the expensive kind) after work ytd too...
apparently he'd asked xiang wat kind of chocos i'd liked n they'd decided on the chocos that has my all favourite macadamia nuts.
hai... hadn't wanted to end our working time together on such a bad note too...
gave him his share of parting gift too.
'godpa' took us to the kbox at selege rd to 'celebrate' our farewell bash.
zhiwei, peiling, 'godpa', mike, huijuan, xiang n i.
won't be able to see them as often (aside from xiang or when we go down ps) after tonite le.
there wasn't a pair of dry eyes at the end of the nite :/
in fact, had to take care of two weepy n bawling gals at the end of the nite -.-"
can u imagine someone singing karaoke till they start crying?
after we left kbox i spent an eternity consoling peiling n listening to her troubled past.
yeah... no wonder she bawls so heart-rendingly.
but she's been such a strong gal so far, i'm sure she'll carry on...
reached home bout 4am or later with a splitting headache.
been a long time since i got myself intoxicated -.-
feels wierd not to go to work today.
had worked for one whole month continuously with only a day or two off days throughout the whole month.
tho i'm sad to leave these ple at work when we'd jus gotten so close, i'm relieved to be able to sit back n relax again like now.
esp reluctant to go back to work noe tt they have changed management (the boss handed the the franchise back to the main bencoolen company to take over for 2 to 3 months to see how come the ps outlet has been making losses continuously).
man, the management who came down last nite sure was bossy n unfriendly.
sure glad we'd quit n do not have to work wif them anymore (tho the manager sandra did ask me if i wan to continue working). as if we wud continue after seeing the horrendously unfeeling n business/ military-like way they ran the store last nite after; so different from the friendly, casual n flexible way we ran the stall.
will be going back down ps to visit them on friday.
ps having a whole-mall-all-out-sale from 7pm-12am, lotsa things to buy ;)
gotta buy new clothes n stuff, esp pants n jeans... my very last two pair of jeans have holes in very unseemly places -.- dun even noe how some holes came about =/
