blackcurrent darkness
whole neighbourhood blacked-out ytd.
blackout as in not only no houselights, but no corrdor lights, no streetlights, no traffic lights n stuff. its totally pitchblack outside man.
noe alot of pple's gonna hoot me when they hear this, but....
ITS FUN~!!! X)
prob cos of the structure my estate was built in, my living room is facing the inner circumference of other blocks that's surrounding in a circle (roughly).
its ptchblack outside, n i mean pitchblack.
not even the soft glimmer of moonlight or stars could be seen.
only lights u could see are the soft glow of candles from the windows of a few apartment flats (luckily i'd used to stock up on candles... sure came to use last nite) n pple holding up torches or lighters outside their corridors or windows.
everything is dark n no one can see around them, lest for the dim outline of the faces lit up by lighters held high. n pple are shouting hellos, laughing n calling out in the direction of the other lights.
how onz was that?? ;p
needless to say, i joined them =)
flicking my lighter n calling hellos to my more 'immediate' neighbours-- the monkey malay boys living right-angled a floor above me, some guy a short bloack's distance away from me, some chinese fellows living right-angled one or two floors above me n some other unrecognised ones :)

someone had even blasted music from their radio (battery operated no doubt) some blocks away. groovy ;P
but we seem to be the only neighbourhood having fun it seems...
msged becca, ian, huishi, hanxiang n a few others living in n around bukit panjang area n discovered that they are expericeing a blackout too.
n they dun seem too happy bout it...

asked around somemore n it seems like not only the whole of bukit panjang, but choa chu kang, hillview n parts of bt timah n bt batok are experiencing this massive blackout too.
wow... O.o
heard tt its in the newspaper today, but haven got around to reading it yet.
but had estimated the duration the blackout had lasted to be bout half an hour??
haha, cheers errupted when the electricity n lights are returned... mah jiam our home team got a football goal like that :p
but that has sure been a fun- filled half an hour =)
i mean, how many chances can we get to experience life the way it was before or during our parents' generation when electricity was a scarcity??
forget studying by candlelight, i can't even see properly the food i'm eating by candlelight.
haha, but that short (or long to the ones suffering during it) half an hour sure was fun ;) hehe.
been busy looking for work these two days.
