Liverpool FC
Went down to a Liverpool Football Club wif Gavin, Phillip n a few of our BT regulars after BT last nite (xiang n i went down BT after our food safety course).
Gavin opened a bottle (Black Label) which we finished in less than 2hrs before the place closed at 1+am. the place even offered karaoke!
smth tt the BT now lacks, as well as atmosphere...
sang a few songs wif xiang n Phillip. been quite some time since i sang karaoke, haha.
Went for supper (nasi lemak somewhere. Gavin's treat of cos) wif Gavin n Kenny before they sent us home.
surprise surprise, Gavin's an unexpectedly nice person *raise eyebrows*
n we only noe this after nearly 3 yrs of working at BT, only getting to noe him last nite.
we'd always viewed him as such a fierce, strict n forbidding customer, thats y we hadn't made any serious attempts at toking to him in all our time (3 yrs! imagine!) at BT so far. but apparently, he's jus shy n stressed-out from work (the rich n successful businessman that he was).
haha... *shakes head*
hmmm... but we went down to this Liverpool FC pub as a secret from mrs chua n ben.
not supposed to let them noe wat other pubs/clubs Gavin n Phillip frequented.
but mrs chua n ben saw us all out to their cars last nite, n they noe we were going somewhere to watch the football matches (all of them gambling on the ESPN matches)... dunno how we're gonna keep it from them =/
hmmm. already tended our 'resignation' to chua n management.
working til the end of this month only - till this fri, 31st Dec.
xiang n i had planned n rehearsed our speech for weeks! n we were so nervous about it, having to postpone telling them for so many times cause smth crop up (the x'mas eve party, our food safety course...), but mrs. chua took it surprisingly well... thats sure a relief :I
but then again... they wun wan to lose us as their customers n potential part-time workers in the future...
as usual, we onli told a few of our regulars of when we're quitting, onli the ones we're more familiar wif. the rest of the regs n customers, we let them think we're working everyday when they asked, so they'll continue returning back to BT.
Gavin n Phillip noes we're quitting oso. some talk of how we can go out n stuff even after we've stopped appearing at BT.
i'm not sure about that tho...
working at BT is always complicated.
we shd noe; all the stories we noe n all the current things going on ard us...
they're not things the average teenager wud even guess cud exist realistically.
its diff while working at BT - i have no choice there.
but its another to bring them into my life even after i've stopped work.
phillip's a sweet guy n very fun to be wif.
but i've oso seen enuff n advised so much against this type.
its so easy to fall into something, but so difficult to extricate yaself from one.

actually, there isn't much to worry about falling prey to temptation in this instance.
even wif such a fun, sociable n easy-going guy as Phillip, i found myself losing interest (mind you, not romantic interest. jus interest in general...) halfway thru the nite. i couldn't joke as spontaneously or tok to them volunteerily, n it was an effort jus to put a smile on my face. n Phillip's one of the more sociable n easy-going guys (not to mention charming) i've known this couple of years!

i haven't had a crush or gotten slightly (romantically) interested in any guys for 3 years!!!
is it my own standards (for heaven's sake, i dun even noe wat my standards are sometimes!), or that i jus haven looked in the rite places yet, or that the men in Singapore are generally getting pathetically...ahem, lower in standards?

All the sweet, sensitive n attractive (ultimately, good bf/husband material) guys are either all taken, or homosexual.
man, i dun mind having a bisexual bf, if he wud wan me!
but i've been told that any "bisexual" man is ultimately more interested in men than in us.
